England is going to begin a new era in the longest format of the game under their new captain Ben Stokes and new head coach Brendon McCullum against New Zealand from 02 June 2022. The first Test match of this three-match series is scheduled to play at Lord’s. After their captain Joe Root stepped down, England will look to rebuild their red-ball supremacy starting from this home series.
England is coming off two consecutive away series defeats against Australia and West Indies. As a result, the Three Lions are sitting at the bottom of the WTC table after just one win out of 13 matches so far with a point percentage of 12.50 (seven losses and four draws). Hence, this home series is a big test for them against the current World Test Championship, New Zealand. After this series, England is also scheduled to play against India for the rescheduled fifth Test match in July.
On the other hand, the Kiwis will also look to strengthen their position on the table as they have faced three losses already out of six matches so far. They are in the sixth position with a point percentage of 38.89 (two wins and one draw).
Meanwhile, ahead of the Test match’s first day, a scorecard of Test runs led to hilarious reactions from cricket fans and even journalists on Twitter. The Lord’s scorecard showed England’s score as 7/1, during a test run and that image circulated quickly over the internet.

Realistic though. Nice cover drive from Crawley, tried it again next ball and nicked off is what I’m guessing happened.
