India is up against Sri Lanka in the first ODI match of the three-match ODI series. The match is getting staged at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo and winning the toss, the home team chose to take the field with willow first. Though the match in itself was a long-awaited event, one of the antics by Hardik Pandya started grabbing much limelight when he came to bowl.

It is a known fact that Pandya has been avoiding the bowling task ever since his back injury. It was stated several times that Pandya can not grab his place in the Test games if he doesn’t bowl. However, after a long wait, Pandya stepped with the ball during the first ODI against Sri Lanka and was seen wearing a headband. He didn’t get much success with the ball but wearing the headband in a weird manner resulted in him getting trolled.

Both Hardik and Krunal Pandya are up in the XI during the first game at Colombo and both would be trying their level best to make a mark. The Indian side is up with a relatively younger squad with ace batsman Shikhar Dhawan being the skipper of the side. As of now, Hardik has only bowled two overs in the game and conceded 12 runs without getting a wicket. On the other hand, Krunal has been lucky to get a wicket on his name.

Here is how Twitter trolled Hardik Pandya for sporting the headband

Talking about the game, for now, the Lankan side is up with the bat and is currently at 117 runs with the loss of four wickets (at the time of writing this article). Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav received their ODI debut caps by Dhawan for the match. On the other hand, the Indian fans couldn’t keep their excitement hidden when the classic duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal came back together after a long time.

While Chahal has got one wicket under his belt, Yadav has been successful in making a mark again and has clinched two wickets so far.
