Usman Khawaja played a couple of stupendous knocks against Pakistan two months ago at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The Islamabad-born batsman notched 85 runs in the first innings followed by a knock of 141 runs, which helped the Aussies evade a defeat. However, he hasn’t had the best of times in Test cricket by any stretch of the imagination.

In the second match in Abu Dhabi, Khawaja could score only three runs in the first innings before falling prey to speedster Mohammad Abbas. The southpaw didn’t bat in the second innings owing to an injury. He is currently playing the four-match Test series against India and he has strained to find his feet, though he has been ready to put a price tag on his wicket.

In the first Test at Adelaide Oval, which Australia lost by 31 runs, Khawaja turned up with a bizarre knock of 28 runs from 125 balls with only one boundary. He continued with his defensive approach in the second innings and scored eight from 42 balls. Even in the ongoing encounter at new Perth Stadium, Khawaja hasn’t been able to hit his traps by any means.

Khawaja’s hilarious moment

In the meantime, the 31-year-old was involved in a rather bizarre action on the cricket pitch. During India’s first innings of the match’s second day, Khawaja was seen fielding with as many as three baggy green caps on his head. The baggy green is a matter of pride for the Aussies and most cricketers dream about donning the cap in their cricketing endeavour.

Apparently, off-break bowler Nathan Lyon, who was bowling, gave his cap to Khawaja, who was patrolling the slip cordon. Moments later, Khawaja appeared on the giant screen and his act caught the eyes of the supporters. It was strange as well as funny and the users on Twitter made some hilarious comments on the left-handed batsman.

Here is how Twitter trolled Khawaja
