Virat Kohli is one of the most successful cricketers in the cricketing world going around right now. The Indian team led by him completed a resounding whitewash over the hosts on their Sri Lanka tour across formats. But Virat Kohli didn’t mention the former Indian coach Anil Kumble in his Teachers Day wish on Twitter only to be trolled.

His spat with Kumble was all over the place ever since the Champions Trophy in June. The news of all not being well between the captain and the coach broke through when Team India was about to start their campaign in the Champions Trophy. Things went ugly as BCCI could not handle the situation and Kumble resigned as the coach 2 days after the final of the mega event calling his partnership with Kohli ‘untenable’.

The tweet

On the occasion of Teachers Day, when many celebrities took to social media to wish their respective teachers, Virat was not behind and posted a heartening message to wish the greats around the world who’ve taught him a thing or two.

He posted a wonderful message along with a picture which carried names of a lot of stalwarts of the game. The picture included the names of Shane Warne, Sachin Tendulkar, Glenn Mcgrath and many more with a caption, ‘Thanks for showing how it’s done’. Along with the picture, he also shared a message which read, “To all the teachers around the world and especially to the ones in the Cricket World. #HappyTeachersDay.”

But the Indian skipper did not even mention the name of the coach and Indian legendary spinner Kumble. He hadn’t menitoned his name while thanking the support staff after the series win as well. India did well under Kumble during his one-year long tenure as coach. They won each and every series in their home season and looked unbeatable in their den.

Kumble’s absence among the names did not go down well with his fans and they trolled Kolhi. While it has been known to everyone that all was certainly not well between Kumble and Kohli, things still do not look good after the former stepping down from the post.

Here is how Twitter trolled Virat Kohli:
