Twitter trolls Yuzvendra Chahal after he welcomes Bhuvi to the club

India continued their dream tour to South Africa as they defeated them by 28 runs in the first of the three T20Is at the Johannesburg on Sunday. While Shikhar Dhawan was the star with the bat as he scored 72 runs off just 38 deliveries, Bhuvneshwar Kumar applied brakes on the run-scoring of the opposition with his sensational five-wicket haul. He also became only the second Indian bowler after Yuzvendra Chahal in the T20 Internationals. However, the leggie was trolled on Twitter after he welcomed Bhuvi to the club in his message for the bowler.

Bhuvi bowled excpetionally well on a flat track and the small ground and returned with the figures of 5/24 in his four-over spell. He rightfully deserved the Man of the Match award for his performance. He has been one of the best bowlers for the team on this tour. During the Test series as well, Bhuvi was brilliant with his swinging deliveries and always kept the batsmen on the tenterhooks. Though he didn’t pick wickets in the subsequent ODI series, the fast bowler kept a lid on the run-scoring constantly.

Chahal praises Bhuvi

Bhuvneshwar Kumar also registered the second-best figures for India in the shortest format of the game. Yuzvendra Chahal is at the top of the charts in this case with the figures of 6/25 against England which he took last year in Bengaluru. He was delighted after the victory and welcomed to Bhuvi in the club after his five-wicket haul on Twitter. “Good win and an amazing spell from @BhuviOfficial welcome to the club bro. Let’s keep the wins coming #INDvsSA,” his message read.

Twitterati, however, wasn’t pleased a bit as they slammed Chahal over his tweet. They reminded the leggie that Bhuvi was senior to him and has played a lot many games than him. Some of them also recalled Bhuvi’s past performances for the team. Chahal made it to the national side only last year and has become the vital cog of the side, while the swing bowler has been playing over the years in all the formats.
