Twitter turns Anushka Sharma's awareness video into a meme material

Anushka Sharma is one of the Bollywood celebrities to be a part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. It was PM, who invited her to be a face of the campaign and the actress readily accepted it in 2017. Other B-Town stars who are a part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan include names such as Priyanka Chopra, Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Vidya Balan.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli posted a video of Anushka Sharma losing her cool at the people going in a car throwing garbage on the road. Anushka traveling with her husband rolled the car window down and gave a piece of advice to a fellow commuter, “Why are you throwing garbage on the road,” she yelled. However, there was no reply from that side but Anushka continued her advice, “Please be careful, you can’t throw plastic like this on the road.”

The video of the incident was captured by Virat Kohli and was shared on his Twitter handle that read, “Saw these people throwing garbage on the road & pulled them up rightfully. Traveling in a luxury car and brains gone for a toss. These people will keep our country clean? Yeah right! If you see something wrong happening like this, do the same & spread awareness.”

A few people on social poked fun on the Indian skipper and the Bollywood actress. In response, Kohli wrote, “Lot of people who don’t have the courage to do something like this find it funny. Everything for people nowadays is meme content. Shame.”

The video already garnered more than two million views across social media platforms. The couple was actively seen raising awareness about the environmental conditions recently. Even, Virat Kohli was a part of ‘go green’ campaign in the cash-rich Indian Premier League.

Recently, Sachin Tendulkar was trolled for advising motor-bikers to wear the helmet. Now, the Twitterati turned Anushka Sharma’s video into a meme material. Here are some of the reactions.
