Twitter wants Mumbai Indians to bring in Ishan Kishan against Sunrisers Hyderabad

Mumbai Indians (MI), the three-time champions of the Indian Premier League (IPL), have made a rather stuttering start to this edition. The franchise, captained by Rohit Sharma, is at the sixth position of the points with two victories and as many losses. However, their last encounter against the mighty Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk resulted in a victory.

Rohit’s team won by 37 runs and also garnered their 100th victory in the cash-rich and prestigious tournament. The Mumbai-based franchise is next scheduled to play against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), the table toppers, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. The odds are against the visitors, but they won’t be mere pushovers by any stretch of the imagination.

Ishan Kishan for Yuvraj Singh?

In the meantime, despite the victory, there were some concerns on MI’s part after a few of their players flattered to deceive, one of them was veteran Yuvraj Singh. The 37-year-old churned out a quick-fire half-century against the Delhi Capitals (DC) and then took Yuzvendra Chahal to the cleaners in the match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

However, the experienced campaigner couldn’t quite do well against the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and the Super Kings. Hence, ahead of MI’s next encounter, Twitter wants him to be excluded and instead wishes for the talented Ishan Kishan to play. Kishan was impressive form, playing for Jharkhand in the Syed Mushtaq Ali TT20 trophy where he notched a couple of tons against J&K and Manipur.

Kishan featured more frequently for Mumbai last season after being roped in at a price of INR 6.2 crores. He scored 275 runs last season at an average of 22.91. His top score of 62 came against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. It doesn’t come as a surprise that the supporters want the Young Turk to make into the eleven in the upcoming encounter.
