Indian cricketer KL Rahul doesn’t just focus on his cricket but is also about style, flair and a lot of swagger. He has celebrated his Test hundreds with dabs when his partners in crime Hardik Pandya or Virat Kohli take a wicket or a catch they do a collective dab celebration. He brought something new on the cricket field after catching Joe Root on day 4 of the 3rd Test. Rahul did a perfect Dele Alli celebration getting it right at one go.

He has emerged as Team India’s most reliable slip fielder. Nothing in Nottingham has popped out of Rahul’s palms. While they tried Shikhar Dhawan in the first Test at Edgbaston, he dropped a few and since the team has trusted KL to do the job. In the first innings, they got three wickets in a row courtesy three brilliant catches by the opener positioned at second slip.

Thus far in the Test match, he has grabbed seven catches. The talk of the town catch was that of the English skipper Root. Jasprit Bumrah who was at the end of his extended spell bowled a short of length delivery outside the off-stump. It was the angle of the ball coming into him that forced Root who was very tentative at the crease to push at it and got the outside edge.

Rahul followed the ball all the way and then got his hands in the right place at the right time to pluck a magnificent catch. He set off celebrating as the wicket was huge in the context of the game. England had already lost both the openers early on the fourth morning to Ishant Sharma and then Bumrah got rid of Root. That’s when Rahul did the Dele Alli celebration.

Here is how Twitterati reacted to his #DeleAlliChallenge

England lost another wicket, that of Ollie Pope in the very next over after the skipper’s departure but since Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler have managed to stitch together a 100-run partnership and are trying their best to pull the team out of troubles.
