The Indian captain Virat Kohli continues to slash record in his own pace as he notched up yet another ton against Sri Lanka in Delhi. This was the 20th century of his already illustrious Test career. But his home crowd witnessed his first in the format and were thrilled to bits as their hero lit up their day in the ongoing third Test match of the series. However, Twitterati was overjoyed with this third consecutive ton in three Tests and poured in their tweets for the cricketer.
He strode out to the middle confident as ever and didn’t break a sweat yet and is looking hungry for more as he always does. India was under a little bit of pressure when he started his batting as Shikhar Dhawan and Cheteshwar Pujara were sent back to the hut by the visitors. The 29-year-old got off the mark with a trademark whip off his wrists off Lahiru Gamage in the same over and announced his arrival.
He was more aggressive than his partner Murali Vijay and caught him up in the run-scoring with utter ease. He scored almost at run a ball throughout his knock and was never really troubled by any of the bowlers. His shots were as usual pleasing to the eyes as he decimated the bowling attack with disdain. He was so assured in his hitting that there was not even a play and a miss delivery during his highly talented innings.
Soon after tea, he formally brought up his 20 Test century and went a step closer to his Australian counterpart who is currently batting in Adelaide. There were no overjoyed celebrations as he now expects himself to perform well whenever he comes out with his willow.
Vijay and Kohli annihilate Sri Lanka
India didn’t lose a wicket throughout the second session and scored 129 runs easily courtesy the partnership between Vijay and Kohli. Both of them continued to annihilate the team from the island nation in the final session after bringing up their respective centuries on either side of tea. They would love to stay unbeaten until stumps on the first day by getting to their 150s and comeback on the super Sunday to pile up more agony on the Lankans.
Twitterati absolutely enjoyed the proceedings and a routine Kohli ton:

Century for @imVkohli, first at his home, Delhi. Keeps on scoring runs for fun, don't talk about the opposition, many play weak teams often, not everyone scores this consistently. Make most of what you face. Bat on. #INDvSL
