Twitterati goes wild as Danielle Wyatt smashes ton; bring Kohli into the picture

Wyatt scored a hundred against Indian women to take her team over the line.

Indian captain Virat Kohli has established himself to be regarded as one of the best cricketers all over the world. His several achievements and mind-boggling records are acknowledged by contemporaries, fans as well as the experts. Apart from his on-field landmarks, the modern day master has also hogged the limelight for his popularization as a sportsman and is a role model for the current generation. England Women’s cricketer Danielle Wyatt got all popular when she proposed Virat on Twitter in 2014.

In the World T20 2014 game against South Africa, Kohli stole the show with his spectacular knock to win the game for his side. After the match, Wyatt posted a tweet asking the Indian batsman to marry her. The fans had a real ball on social media and exaggerated the incident. It was all taken in a sporting sense by both the players. Kohli also went on to gift her a bat when they next met.

4 years on that day, Virat is married to his long-time girlfriend and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma. Still, the fans and funny fanatics of the game have trolled the English cricketer for her crush on the Indian captain.

Wyatt is in India presently with the England T2o side for the tri-series which also involves India and Australia. The hosts lost their first game of the tournament against the Aussies, while the Brits won their opening encounter against the team from down under. In the third match of the tri-nation series, between England and India, Wyatt played a thundering match-winning knock of 124 runs off just 64 balls, which helped his side chase down a fighting total of 199 runs, set by the Indian women.

She opened the innings smashed her second T20I century in just 52 balls and also became the only second player to score two tons in T20Is. English cricketer Kate Cross posted a meme that was circulating on social media in a tweet and not only the fans but Wyatt also reacted to it.
