The fans of the Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh have stood by their favourite cricketer against his sister-in-law who accused him and his family for domestic violence. Akanksha Sharma had lodged a complaint against the cricketer, his brother Zoravar Singh and his mother Shabnam Singh accusing that she was put under pressure by them to have a baby. Interestingly, it was also reported that Yuvraj had threatened her to leave the house if she didn’t listen to her mother-in-law. However, the lawyer of the Punjab cricketer has cleared the air that no FIR was lodged against him and his family for domestic violence.

The lawyer of Akanksha had made some serious allegations on Yuvraj Singh especially and had blamed him as he was a mute spectator of all violence against her client. The left-hander is already struggling to revive his international career and the family feud must have surely disturbed him. Punjab lost their last game under the leadership of Yuvraj in Ranji Trophy and he couldn’t contribute much with the bat.

#WeSupportYuvraj

Twitterati has thrown their strong support behind their hero of the 2011 World Cup and has slammed Akanksha of unnecessarily dragging him to gain cheap fame. They are using a special hashtag #WeSupportYuvraj on Twitter to assist the 35-year-old cricketer on social media. The messages poured in after the confirmation from the family lawyer Damanbir Singh Sobti rubbished all the reports and cleared the air by claiming that no case had been registered against them.

While some of the users accused her of marrying his brother for money, few suggested her to get a new life for troubling such a gentleman cricketer. Yuvraj himself hasn’t commented anything on this matter so far. It would be interesting to see his response when he would know that his fans supported him all the way in the case.
