Twitterati troll Ravindra Jadeja for his poor batting form this season

The Chennai Super Kings are currently facing the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 24 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018. The team is placed second on the points table and will hope to move to the numero uno position with a win here. However, it won’t be a cakewalk for CSK to there. RCB put a mammoth 205 runs on the board in the first innings after being put into bat first. Chasing this massive total, CSK lost some early wickets in the game.

Shane Watson walked back to the pavilion and was followed by the other batsmen. Suresh Raina who was expected to play a big role in the chase failed to make a contribution and same was the case with Sam Billings. Interestingly, CSK continued to back Ravindra Jadeja for a role up the order ahead of the likes of MS Dhoni. The plan might have been that a left-hander would be more effective against a left-arm spinner and a leg-spinner.

Jadeja fails yet again

Jadeja was among the three players retained for the season earlier this year. He was given a lot of chances despite the poor performances. He hasn’t been effective both with the bat and the ball. Although he’s got his chances with the bat, he failed to create a mark. He failed miserably and often left CSK in tough situations.

It wasn’t any different this evening against the RCB. Jadeja had a wonderful opportunity in this game batting up the order and to make an impact. But, he only 3 runs off 5 balls before he was cleaned up by Yuzvendra Chahal. He tried to cut a leg-spinner from Chahal and that was one of the worst displays of shot selection. With the ball as well, he didn’t make an impact as he conceded 22 runs from just 2 overs.

Twitterati was in no mood to spare him for his poor performances. The didn’t miss out on the opportunity to troll him for his string of poor performances.
