Two fans file PIL to ban the Indian Premier League

In a shocking news, two fans have filed a PIL in the Supreme Court to ban the Indian Premier League. They even demanded to ban all other league games. The fans are namely Atul Kumar who is Civil Engineer by profession and an activist. The other person alongside him is Shantanu Gunar Ray who’s a journalist.
In what is supposed to be a 48 pages appeal, they have narrated numerous occasions where the players have allegedly fixed games. They also mentioned that the petition was being filed on behalf of various people who were affected by the same.
“That the persons affected by such acts of the State are numerous and are not in a position to approach the Court, hence this petition is filed”, Atul Kumar, was quoted as saying by the Kashmir Times. He has also written several books on corruption. He further told that they wanted to the Supreme Court to reveal the names in the envelope. The Mudgal Committee had submitted the names to the Supreme Court in a sealed envelope.
“We have also demanded to disclose the identity of players included in the list of 13 submitted by Mudgal to the Court”.
Rashid Latif tried to explore the controversy
The names of former cricketers like Rashid Latif and Vinod Kambli also came forward. The petitioners provided with information that these cricketers came forward to explore the scandal but their pleas were ignored.
The activist Atul Kumar has tried to convey his message to the President as well as the Prime Minister of India but failed to reach out to them. He also mentioned writing letters to Police Commissioners and Lodha Committee which went in vain. All this propelled him to file a PIL before the Supreme Court.
The activist also accused of India-Pakistan matches to be fixed but failed to provide sublime proof regarding the same.
