South Africa women’s team captain Dane van Niekerk tied the knot with the fast bowling all-rounder Marizanne Kapp on Saturday. These two women cricketers have known each other for quite some time now. The duo made their international debut in a gap of two days all the way back in 2009 during the Women’s World Cup.
While Van Niekerk debuted on March 8 against West Indies, Kapp followed it by debuting on March 10 against Australia. This duo became the second of the current international teammates to get hitched. Earlier, New Zealand’s Amy Satterthwaite and Lea Tahuhu got married last year.
