Umar Akmal gets trolled for his 'IPL' blunder in a recent video on Twitter
Pakistan players aren't allowed to play in the IPL since the terrorist attack in Mumbai in 2008.
Pakistan cricketer Umar Akmal has become habitual of being in the news for some or the other reasons. This time around it is for his blunder on social media when he mistakenly said ‘IPL’ while promoting his country‘s T20 league which is currently in progress. The cricket has returned to Pakistan once again in the form of the league and along with the fans, the players are also delighted over the same.
In a recent video on Twitter, Umar Akmal expressed his elation over the game returning to the home country and urged the crowd to turn up in full numbers for the rest of the tournament as well. He also went on to say that if the fans continue to show their love towards cricket the same way, then even international matches will also soon take place along with the whole of the T20 league in Pakistan soon.
But he made a blunder. Umar Akmal said, IPL instead of PSL in a huge slip of tongue and the social media is not getting over it anytime soon. “Our team Quetta is here in Karachi and we are playing on our home ground. More the support from the crowd, better the team will perform. And if the crowd supports every team like this, the next IPL, sorry PSL will be held here,” he said in the video only to leave the Twitterati in splits.

Akmal makes a comeback
Meanwhile, Umar Akmal has made a comeback to the national side for the upcoming ODI series against Australia. The selectors have decided to test a few players be resting the key ones ahead of the World Cup and this presents a great opportunity for him to cement his place in what still seems to be a brittle middle-order.
This might also be the last chance for him to stake his claim in the national side as the team will be rebuilt again after the World Cup later this year. Despite the success at the international front, Umar Akmal was trolled hilariously for his recent blunder on social media.
