Umesh Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Gurkeerat Singh Mann released from test side: In an interesting move, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has just made the announcement of releasing several players so that they can join their state teams and participate in the upcoming domestic contest. The decision came in the light of their recent injuries that they sustained in the ongoing bilateral series against South Africa.

According to Sources, G Mann, Bhuveneshwar Kumar and speedster Umesh Yadav will be joining their respective state teams very soon and take part in the upcoming state-level clashes. The BCCI’s announcement made it doubtful whether B Kumar and U Yadav will play at the India’s national test squad for the remaining two tests. However, it’s too early to say anything about 3rd and 4th test of the ongoing Gandhi Mandela Series 2015 as both are long way to go.

As of now, it is clear that India will have to play the 2nd test, currently being underway at the famous Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, without the service of these popular cricketers. The replacement for these players has also been disclosed and youngsters Karun Nair and Mayank Agarwal will assist Team India in the 2nd test.

Until now, both batsmen couldn’t make it to national squad as yet, but it is definitely going to be a riveting experience for them to share the Indian dressing room alongside Captain Virat Kohli at the Bengaluru test.

Karun Nair is a well known face in India’s first-class cricket as he got more than 2200 runs in this format with 7 centuries and 8 fifties at a good average of 53. On the other hand, Mayank Agarwal, who made his first-class debut in 2013, has already got 7 fifties to his credit in first-class cricket. The 24-year-old has also scored 5 centuries in his List A career.
