The United States of America (USA) have recently announced a 14-member squad for their first ever T20 International series against the United Arab Emirates (UAE), starting Friday, March 15. The tour comprises of two T20Is and a number of 50-overs matches. The opening T20I is scheduled to be played at the ICC Academy Oval followed by the second encounter at the same venue on March 16.

“We see the UAE tour as being the perfect preparation for ICC World Cricket League 2 and the make-up of this squad has been picked squarely with the focus on the ultimate goal of [ODI] status and progression from World Cricket League Division 2 in Namibia,” Powell, also a former Windies cricketer, added.
Fast bowler Muhammad Ali Khan, who was a part of the 2019 Indian Premier League (IPL) auction in December last year, is also a part of the squad. Alex Amsterdam and Nisrag Patel have been dropped from the squad.
