Preview:

Heading into Round 4, both Baroda and Maharashtra’s fixtures have been washed out. While Baroda did manage to spend some time with the bat against UP, Maharashtra is still waiting to take the field this year. Maharashtra had a good year in 2018-19 as they managed to qualify for the quarterfinals, where they succumbed to a young Jharkhand side. Baroda also gave a good account of themselves although they did miss out on qualification by a whisker.

Maharashtra has experienced a resurgence in recent years with the likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad, Rahul Tripathi and Kedar Jadhav revelling for them. Baroda also boasts of some explosive players in their side, capable of competing against any team in the competition.

The last time these two teams faced off against each another, Maharashtra registered a comfortable five-wicket win. Baroda will bank on the all-round duo of Deepak Hooda and Krunal Pandya, who also leads the side this year.

Weather Condition/Report:

Just like the previous games in Vadodara, rain should play spoilsport once again. Thunderstorms are expected on Saturday with a cloud cover of 99% at the start of the game, according to AccuWeather. Chances of any action on the cricket field look very bleak.

Pitch Condition/Report:

Although there haven’t been any matches played at this venue, run-scoring should be relatively easier for both sets of batsmen. Vadodara has experienced persistent rains throughout the week which could play against the batsmen with extra help for the bowlers to exploit.
