India is undergoing tough times as the second wave of the Covid-19 has caused a medical emergency in the country. In these difficult times, the IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) stepped forward to make people aware of the importance of following all the COVID guidelines by the health experts.
RCB released a video where players like Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Glenn Maxwell, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Devdutt Padikkal can be seen urging the Indian citizens to stay at home, use a mask, and follow social distancing to curb the spread of the deadly virus and save themselves and their family.
The clip commenced with skipper Virat Kohli saying, “Hi, I am Virat Kohli, as a captain I try to lead from the front and help people around. I request all of you to do the same, sanitize your hands, step out only if necessary and wear your masks at all times.”
Further in the video, the wicketkeeper-batsman AB also backed the statement made by the RCB captain as he reckoned, ” Hi, it’s Ab de Villiers, you cannot wait for a superhero when the going gets tough, you need to be the superhero. With the Covid pandemic, the best way to stay safe is by staying at home. Together, let’s survive these tough times.”
Our priority right now is to provide you entertainment: Glenn Maxwell
Another superstar of RCB’s line-up Glenn Maxwell urged the people to follow all the precautions and stay safe. The all-rounder asserted that the cricket players are trying their best to provide entertainment to their fans through IPL and in return just want them to follow all the guidelines by the government.
“Our priority right now is to provide you entertainment and hopefully giving you joy. In return, I am just asking to follow all precautions to stay safe and beat Covid,” said Maxwell.
Stay Home. Stay Safe.
The only way to beat the Coronavirus pandemic is by working as a team. Each one of us is a superhero and all we need to do is follow the basics and help each other. Here’s Virat Kohli and Co. with a public service announcement.#PlayBold #StayHomeStaySafe pic.twitter.com/jQT9q15N5j
