Team India is currently completing its mandatory quarantine period in Mumbai before flying to the UK for the World Test Championship final. To cut on the boredom these days, Indian skipper Virat Kohli took to his official Instagram to have a fun Q and A session with his fans and followers. Kohli answered many questions circling his on and off-field life and at the same time, talked about a bowler who could have troubled him from the past.
It is a no-brainer that Kohli took Wasim Akram’s name as the bowler who could have challenged him. Former Pakistan speedster was celebrated as one of the finest bowlers of his time and could swing the ball both ways. His lethal bouncers and yorkers troubled the batters like anything back in those days. Akram ended his 20-year glorious career with 414 Test and 502 ODI wickets.
The 32-year-old is currently with the team in Mumbai which will move to the UK for locking horns with New Zealand in the WTC final. He will then lead the Indian side to five-match Test series against England. Meanwhile, he also answered many other questions while conducting the fun session on his IG.
Virat Kohli opens on his bond with MS Dhoni
Kohli told the meaning of the name he has given to his daughter ‘Vamika.’ The skipper also talked about the thing he googled last. However, one more answer took away the limelight which defined his bond with MS Dhoni. He used ‘trust and respect’ as two words to define his bond with the legendary skipper.
“I have always been inclined towards taking responsibility. After my debut for India, it was just about wanting to play, it was about being in the Indian XI all the time. Then, with your intrigue in the game, you start talking to the captain regularly. I was always in MS’s ears, discussing different tactics,” spoke Kohli last year in a live chat with Indian spinner Ravi Ashwin.
Fans would be keen on seeing Kohli’s classy forms in the upcoming big assignments in form of the WTC final and England Test series.
