India skipper Virat Kohli and his wife, Bollywood Diva, Anushka Sharma were blessed with a baby girl on January 11. The cricketer took to his social media handles to reveal the delightful news which sent the fans of a power couple into a frenzy. Kohli and Anushka have now revealed the name of their baby girl and it is, Vamika. It is also the first picture of the baby though they have made sure that the face of the baby isn’t visible.
Both Virat Kohli and Anushka, ever since they became parents, have requested the media to respect their privacy. Moreover, they have also assured everyone that they will get all the updates related to them. Recently, the adorable couple was also spotted posing for a few pictures while also thanking the media for obliging to their request.
Meanwhile, Anushka Sharma revealed the name of the baby on her official Instagram handle on Monday (February 1). She wrote a heartfelt message for Vamika while making the name public and also thanked the fans for all the love and support.
“We have lived together with love, presence and gratitude as a way of life but this little one, Vamika has taken it to a whole new level! Tears, laughter, worry, bliss – emotions that have been experienced in a span of minutes sometimes! Sleep is elusive but our hearts are SO full Thanking you all for your wishes, prayers, and good energy,” her post read.

Virat Kohli already in Chennai
Meanwhile, the India captain Virat Kohli who missed the last three Tests against Australia to be with Anushka for the birth of their child is in Chennai ahead of the first Test against England. The first of the four-match Test series is set to commence on February 5 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium and Kohli will be itching to get going after a refreshing break.
Both the teams are currently in the middle of a six-day quarantine in hotel and will be starting their training from February 2 after testing negative for COVID-19 thrice.
