The Indian cricket team threw their weight behind a struggling Sri Lankan line-up, as the visitors registered a victory by an innings and 53 runs in the 2nd Test match at Colombo yesterday. The Indian skipper Virat Kohli met a very special guest post the press-conference- The Great Khali from the WWE fame. Kohli also tweeted “It was Great to meet The Great Khali, what a guy!,”.

He posted a couple of pictures with the wrestler which created a wave in the social media. The 7-feet 1 inch wrestler hit the limelight years back after he took on popular wrestler Undertaker in one of the WWE matches. Khali AKA Dalip Singh Rana has always been a fan favourite and the fans of both the sporting heroes couldn’t have believed the happenings. It was incidentally the friendship day, and like always; the Indian skipper Kohli didn’t fail to surprise his ardent fan.

The Indian team is having a great time in the island nation after they sealed the 2nd Test in dominating fashion. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja shot the Lankans with his nagging line and length. It was India’s first victory by an innings and more after a clinical performance in the 1st Test match, where Kohli’s men won the game by a huge margin. This also meant that India have retained the trophy, which they won here two years back under the captaincy of Kohli and now has an opportunity to make a whitewash out of the 3-Test series.

“Well, it’s obviously nice to win this series again. We won this last time also, in 2015. Yes, we do have that chance, but honestly speaking, we are not looking at Test matches or Test cricket now as home and away anymore. We are just looking at Test matches as Test matches and we want to win anywhere that we play,” Kohli said.

The Sri Lankan side will look to rub off the shortcomings and avoid a clean sweep when both the sides meet at Colombo on August 12.
