The Indian tour of Australia has generated a lot of interest over the past few days. After a nail-biting first Test at the Adelaide Oval, the Perth game is also heading towards a thrilling finish. At stumps on Day 3, the hosts managed to gain a competitive advantage over the Indians. With a lead of 175 runs and wickets still intact, Australia look favorites to wrap up the Perth Test.
Throughout the game, there was a lot of banter exchange between players of both teams. Rishabh Pant has been known for being vocal behind the stumps. The young wicketkeeper-batsman continued to do the same at Perth as well. However, it was the captains from both the teams that took the center of attention.
Virat Kohli and Tim Paine engaged in some exchange of words though it was all in good spirit. In what came up as a suspicious edge, Kohli decided not to review. However, he went close to Paine and stated, “If he messes this up it is 2-0 and who’s going to talk then?” The Aussie captain was quick in reverting back, “You’ve got to bat first big head.” Both laughed it off.

Virat Kohli is a great player
Nathan Lyon has had a memorable Test already. The spinner picked a five-wicket haul in the first innings earlier today. He also had a six-wicket haul at the Adelaide Oval. There was another conversation between both the skippers as they headed back to the pavilion. Lyon stated what was it about praising Kohli, who scored his 25th Test century today.
“Tim just asked him where he was going for dinner, I’ve played enough cricket against Virat to know what he’s like. Virat’s Virat. Virat Kohli is a great player. He plays on emotion. I’m not worried about what he’s doing or India’s doing,” Nathan Lyon was quoted as saying by Daily Telegraph.
