International cricket takes out lot from a player. The schedule of the cricketers is getting busier every year with the introduction of various T20 leagues around the world. Sometimes too much of cricket leads to fatigue and affects a player’s mindset which results in poor performance in the field. Taking sometime off from cricket especially during long overseas tours is very important as it helps the player to remain fresh for upcoming games.
Much needed rest
Captaining the Indian team is not easy. Virat Kohli carries the expectations of 1.3 billion people. He has scored so many runs across the world that he has been termed as the ‘run-machine.’ But even a machine needs oil and regular repairs to work effectively. It needs a cooling period to produce the desired result. Kohli and his men won the T20 series but lost the ODI series against a good England side. India is now preparing for the much awaited test series which is set to begin on the 1st day of August. Since we are still two weeks away from the series, Kohli decided to take some time off his schedule and spend time with his better half.
The skipper and Anushka Sharma are exploring England together and were recently spotted shopping in Leeds. Anushka, after finishing her scheduled shoot for upcoming movie Sui-Dhaga, joined Virat for the tour. She also visited the venue to support her husband. It is difficult for the couple to stay away from the camera as they have huge fan following across the world.

The captain is known for setting an example to his team by leading from the front. He has raised the bar for fitness and changed the dynamics of the Indian team. Kohli’s team looks more athletic and is capable of defeating any opposition in any part of the world. The Indian team will be itching to do well in England and Kohli will want to score a couple of centuries unlike last time India visited England.
