Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma steal the show at Indian Sports Honours Awards

It is a well-renowned fact that Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are one of the most popular couples presently in India. Whenever the two meet in public, it is a matter of certainty that the two would be creating headlines.
A similar thing occurred during the Virat Kohli Foundation funded Indian Sports Honour awards. The two were spotted together yet again and it created quite a buzz in media. Also, VK changed his display pic on Instagram and yes it again has his lady love Anushka.
The initiative of honouring sportspersons from various fields was launched by Virat Kohli and Sanjiv Goenka’s RPSG recently, and the awards function was held on Saturday evening with personalities from various fields coming together.
“As cricketers, we don’t get many awards but it always feels special when you get nominated or you get an award,” commented the latest sensation of Indian cricket Hardik Pandya.
Sporting greats such as Sania Nehwal, PV Sindhu, Kidambi Srikanth, Prannoy Kumar, Pullela Gopichand, Sania Mirza, Mahesh Bhupathi, Ashish Nehra, Zaheer Khan, Umesh Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin were present in the event. Apart from them, Bollywood stars such as Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Siddharth Malhotra, Malaika Arora Khan were the others present in the event.
Chhetri recalled the success of the FIFA Under-17 World Cup and said India needs to build on it. “The kind of popularity, the interest that has been generated by the World Cup has been massive; I hope we build on it,” said Chettri according to Hindustan Times.
“We hope to continue that in the next year. It is going to be a busy season, we start with South Africa tour in January end,” commented the captain of the Indian women’s team Mithali Raj. Kohli may have exempted himself from being in contention for any of the awards, but the Indian captain was the cynosure of all eyes when he walked hand-in-hand with Anushka Sharma.
