The Indian captain Virat Kohli has been at the centre stage always, be it on the field or off the field. He was busy posting vacation pictures when Team India was playing in New Zealand thanks to the rest given to him by the selectors. While Kohli is more often than not in the headlines for his stupendous skills on the 22 yards, this time around he was at the receiving end on the social media.
The 30-year-old, on Thursday, when the nation was mourning the loss of 40 soldiers in the Pulwama Terrorist attack, asked his followers to follow their favourite clubs for the upcoming Indian Sports Honours. This infuriated the Indian fans and they lashed out at Kohli. While there was nothing wrong in a promotional tweet, the timing of the same was wrong and soon the tweet was deleted as well.
