On a number of instances, Indian captain Virat Kohli has been deemed as hasty and outlandish. He has often been encountered with backlashes for the reason that he prefers to speak his heart out while opining on matters. Recently, he bashed a supporter on his official application and thereafter even the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) expressed their disappointment on the issue.
Nevertheless, Kohli has also been lauded for showing his humble and grounded nature time and again. India are currently in Australia where they recently played a three-match T20I series, which was drawn. The series was also Kohli’s comeback to international cricket after the Delhi-born cricketer took a break in the three-match T20I series against Windies, which the home team whitewashed 3-0.
Virat showing his humble character
Prior to the first match at the Gabba in Brisbane, Kohli was seen giving away autographs to fans, seating in the stands near the boundary. A lot of them expressed their delight and ecstasy and even clicked selfies with the experienced campaigner. India are now scheduled to play a four-match Test series against Tim Paine and his men, which gets underway on December 6 at Adelaide Oval.
Recently, the 30-year-old again put forth his down-to-earth nature. The Indians reached the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground in order to play a four-day warm-up match and before entering the ground, Virat walked up to an Indian supporter even as the other cricketers made their way into the stadium. In the beginning, the experienced campaigner obliged and gave his signature on a notebook.
The fan also wanted Virat to sign on his white T-shirt, which he was wearing under the Indian jersey. Virat asked him to straighten his shirt so that it becomes easier for him to give the autograph. After making the supporter happy, Virat shook his hands and went away. As far as the practice match is concerned, rain played spoilsport on the first day and even the toss couldn’t take place.
