Virat Kohli discloses about his favourite shot and it’s not a cover drive
Kohli- Sleep Deprived much?
India’s all-format captain, Virat Kohli, recently took to social media to disclose about his favourite shot these days. To keep people guessing, it is neither the majestic cover drive he plays nor the backfoot punch over long-on which perplexed one and all in the cricketing fraternity.
According to the recent post from VK, lately, his favourite shot is those in the morning during his sleep or when he is waking up. With the help of his captions, it can be safely stated that the Indian captain is feeling jaded and sleepy due to the grueling schedule of Indian Cricket.
“Love doing these sleeping/waking up shots, my absolute favorite! ??? #SleepyHead #SleePaid” captioned Virat Kohli’s latest post on Instagram. This post finally proves that VK is human after all especially looking at the schedule of the modern master of the game of cricket.
Here’s the post
In the last year and a half, Kohli has either been on the field winning the games for the country or working hard at the gym working on his fitness. Critics would say India has either played under home conditions or toured weaker nations off-late, but it is hard not to admit the contribution of the 28-year-old who has taken the Indian team to the numero uno position in both Tests and ODIs.
India, with the win at Indore, took an unassailable lead of 3-0 in the 5-match ODI series against Australia. This is now their sixth consecutive bilateral series win in ODIs. In the whites, India has remained undefeated (8 series) in Tests under the captaincy of VK after Australia tour of 2014.
However, the acid test for Kohli is yet to come with the upcoming tours of South Africa, Australia, England and New Zealand. These tours would truly determine the greatness of the current Indian team. By the looks of it, the Indian team has both resources and belief to overhaul any opposition in any condition.
