The tenth edition of the Indian Premier League has been a nightmarish season for Royal Challengers Bangalore. The only good news for RCB is that they will not have to play any more matches. The players will now be seen in national colours. Skipper Virat Kohli will be captaining the Indian side for the first time in a major ICC tournament. But Chris Gayle’s West Indies did not qualify for the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 which commences from 1st of June.
Kohli recently gifted his “one of his personal favourite bat” to teammate Chris Gayle. The Caribbean kind-hearted monster runs an organisation. His organisation goes by the name of “The Chris Gayle Foundation”. The official twitter handle of the foundation tweeted a video of Kohli’s bat on the micro-blogging website Twitter. “Huge thanks to Virat Kohli and donation of one of his favourite bats!”

Where will the bat go?
The bat will be auctioned. It will go under the hammer at”The Chris Gayle Dinner” on the 6th of June in London. Few cricket memorabilia will go under the hammer to raise funds. Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, who also has his own foundation, will be present at the event.
The website of Gayle’s foundation wrote “Fabulous fundraising event in aid of newly formed, The Chris Gayle Foundation. Special guests include Kevin Pieterson, Ravi Bopara, Yuvraj Singh and many other cricketing superstars from around the world. So we would be delighted if you could join us, in partnership with Grange Hotels, for an evening of fine wine, sumptuous food, fundraising and fun!”
Indian cricket team will be in England at that time for the ICC Champions Trophy. Defending champions India is in Group A alongside arch-rivals Pakistan, Sri Lanka and South Africa. India will start their campaign against Pakistan on 4th of June at Edgbaston, Birmingham.
