Virat Kohli gives a priceless reaction after Rohit Sharma hit Kane Richardson for a six

Rohit Sharma has a healthy record against the Australians, and there were a lot of expectations from him coming into the series. But the Indian opener failed in the first two games. Chasing the target of 295 today, India needed a good start from its openers. Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane provided India with a brilliant start, building an opening stand of 139 runs. This start put them in a commanding position to chase down the target.

In the 8th over of the Indian innings, Rohit walked down the wicket against Kane Richardson he saw the batsman stepping down and pulled his length back. The right-hander was committed to playing a big shot and pulled the ball over the square leg boundary for a humongous six. The shot was high enough for the ball to cross the stands and the ball went out of the stadium.

The distance of the six was recorded as 103m. The power of the shot from Rohit Sharma surprised Indian captain Virat Kohli who gave a priceless reaction. Everyone in the stadium was trying to track the ball, but the reaction of the Indian captain is one of the moments of the day.

Rohit looked set to score big but unfortunately, he couldn’t take his innings beyond 71 runs. He had done the damage as he put India in a great position to chase the total and take an unassailable 3-0 lead in 5-match ODI series.

Australia gives a stiff target

Earlier in the day, Australian captain won the toss and opted to bat first. they got off to a great start in their innings. Aaron Finch, who came back from injury built a great 2nd wicket partnership with captain Steve Smith to put Australia in a great position. Then wickets in the middle overs and tight bowling from the Indian pacers in the death ensured Australians were not able to cross the 300-run mark.
