Virat Kohli introduces 'Veshbhusha' challenge for Independence Day
He also nominated Dhawan and Pant to take up the challenge.

The Indian captain Virat Kohli takes pride in donning the Team India jersey and is always keen to contribute to the team’s success. He believes in winning every game and in the process gives his 100 per cent on the field. He is the brand ambassador of Manyavar which is a renowned men’s ethnic wear brand and in a bid to promote them ahead of the 72nd Independence Day of India, has urged the people of the country to wear traditional clothes on the day.
The whole country will celebrate the Independence Day on August 15 and salute the national flag as everyone remembers the heroes who sacrificed their lives for India. On the special occasion, every citizen feels proud to be part of a nation which believes in unity in diversity and also pays tribute to the national heroes of the country.
Kohli’s latest challenge
Manyavar, through its advertisements, have been urging the people to wear traditional dress on Independence Day. Even their ambassador took to his official Instagram handle and posted a video in which he introduced a new challenge called ‘Veshbhusha’ urging his followers to wear the Indian traditional dress on 15th August.
Virat Kohli himself was wearing a Saffron coloured kurta while addressing the nation in the video as he remembered a quote by the Indian leader Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, “Tum Mujhe Khoon Do Main Tumhe Azadi Dunga.” He requested everyone to wear the ethnic dress as the country will come together to commemorate the Independence Day.
The Indian captain also nominated his teammates, Shikhar Dhawan and Rishabh Pant, to take up the ‘Veshbhusha’ challenge and the former has already has already obliged and completed it. All of them are currently in England involved in the ongoing five-match Test series with the second game commencing on Thursday.
