India captain Virat Kohli is an immensely popular figure in the cricketing fraternity. Even in a country like Pakistan, youngsters are seen sporting jersey with ‘Virat’ written on it. While young international cricketers try to learn from Kohli’s batting, others maintain stubble as his die-hard followers. Kohli lookalikes are no less in number nowadays but one of them in a video that went viral recently has sent the fans into tizzy. Some of them were convinced that the man in the video is the Indian captain though it was not to be.
The Tik Tok video showed the Kohli lookalike trying to impress a girl but she was not ready to accept him. After trying for a few times in vain, ‘Kohli’ gets to know the person the girl likes and he arranges for their meeting. The video showed ‘Kohli’ hid the girl’s eyes and introduced her to the man of his preference. The tragic tale then showed the Kohli double, identified as Gaurav Arora, leaving the scene dejected as the girl and her man celebrate their meeting.

Real Kohli though is a happy man in personal life
The real Kohli though is far from such a heart-breaking outcome. He is happily married to Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma since December 2017, after a long courtship. The power couple is often seen displaying their strong bonding – be it during India’s cricket tours or on commercials.
Kohli buried the speculation that he would seek a break from limited-overs cricket after India’s shock exit from the cricket World Cup in England which recently concluded in England. There were also reports about Kohli’s alleged rift with Rohit Sharma, India’s vice-captain in ODIs and T20Is and that the Indian captaincy could be split for the Tests and limited-over games. But eventually, it wasn’t the case as Kohli was picked as the captain for all the three formats in the upcoming tour to West Indies.
India will play three T20Is, as many ODIs and two Tests in the Caribbeans in the tour that will kick off on August 3. The Tests will be part of the ICC World Test Championship.
Here are some of the reactions on Twitter to the ‘Virat Kohli’ video:
