The ongoing Test match at Perth has been full of twists and turns more of bounces and dips in a real sense. Both the teams have displayed competitiveness on the field fighting for every inch in a close game. While Australia managed to gain a lead of 43 runs, the Indians stepped up their game on the field. The pace quartet, in particular bowled quite brilliantly in the second and third session to bring them back in the game.
After an endearing spell, Aaron Finch hurt his finger being hit by a short one from Mohammed Shami. Sooner, his opening partner Marcus Harris was bowled by Bumrah. Each wicket led to a sparkling celebration from the Indian side as they were pumped up to shift the momentum of the game in their favour. It is the third day of the Test and these sessions will be the deciding factor in the final outcome of the game.
Virat Kohli’s animated celebration after Shaun Marsh’s dismissal
Virat Kohli was constantly trying to rejuvenate the energy levels of the crowd and get under the skin of the batsmen with his words. For a moment, it seemed that India were playing the game at home and not in Perth. After Shami finally got Marsh who was dropped once, the Indian skipper just couldn’t hold himself back. Having already scored a century earlier today, Kohli pulled off a different kind of celebration.

Earlier today, the Indian lower order continued to falter like a pack of cards. From being comfortably placed at 223/4 and looking good for a first innings lead they were bowled out for 283. Rishabh Pant continued to bat in attacking mode and as usual, the innings was fun till it lasted. Nathan Lyon managed to get him for the third consecutive time in the series.
With the lead above 150 at the moment and Australia still having six wickets intact, it doesn’t sound good news for the Indian batsmen at Perth. Chasing anything in excess of 200 will be a stiff task given how the surface has been behaving and the vulnerability in their own batting.
