Indian Team is all set to start fresh as their home season begins with the five-match ODI series against Australia. Virat Kohli & Co. will get down to the business of continuing their dominance in the limited-overs format as they have been doing for quite some time now. With the first ODI set to be played on Sunday in Chennai, the preparations are in full swing as they look to tick all boxes before the start of a competitive series.

However, it will not be the easiest path for India as Australia aren’t the sort of travellers who will accept a whitewash and wrap things up without showing a fight. They will make sure to stretch the hosts to the very end and make every battle difficult. Australia have spent almost a week in Chennai and are well acquainted with the conditions.

Kohli’s gesture

As we all know, Indian skipper, Virat Kohli has the administration and support of millions of followers across the globe and few of his ardent fans happen to be in Chennai who took their time-off to meet him on Saturday (16 September).

In a video posted by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Virat Kohli specifically mentions that “I don’t look to disappoint children when I see them because someone can get inspired at some stage and do something productive, so I always look to sign autographs and do pictures for kids.”

Here’s the video

He never looks to disappoint his fans and always makes the best effort to not just to click a picture with them, but also to inspire them to dream big and make this life worth a living.

The best gift for his fans down south will be a win over the Aussies at the Chepauk, something the team hasn’t managed to do in their 4 ODI encounters at the venue.
