Team India played their last international match in 2019 on December 22 against West Indies. Since then, they have gone their separate ways in order to spend some quality time with their loved ones around the world. Virat Kohli and his men had a brilliant 2019-year cricket wise, as they reached the semi-finals of World Cup, kept their No.1 ranking in Test matches intact and improved a lot in the T20I format.

The cricketers earned a well-deserved break from the game to welcome the new year 2020 with their families. Team’s next international assignment will be against Sri Lanka, who will play three T20I games starting from January 5 and this meant they had quite a time to be with their loved ones, as a new decade began.

Here is a look at how some of the cricketers enjoyed bringing in the New Year 2020:

Indian captain Virat Kohli and wife Anushka Sharma flew away to scenic Switzerland in order to ring in the new year and met up with fellow celebrities like Varun Dhawan with his girlfriend and Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, who were there to celebrate the New Year as well. Virat wished his fans a new year along with his wife Anushka through a video he shared on his social media profile.

MS Dhoni was clicked with Rishabh Pant in Dubai, but he came back to Ranchi in order to bring in 2020 with family and friends. Sakshi shared an image with her husband MS on her official Instagram account showing the festivities. Meanwhile, Pant also shared a heartwarming picture with his partner.

The New Year proved to be extra special for Hardik Pandya, as he got engaged to girlfriend Natasa Stankovic, who is a Serbian actress-dancer, well-known for her performance in ‘DJ Wale Babu’ song. He too posted a photo with her fiancé showing the lovely couple celebrating together on his social media account.

Indian pacer Umesh Yadav got an opportunity to play for India in Tests owing to an injury to Jasprit Bumrah and took it with both hands, earning accolades for his tearaway performance against South Africa in Pune Test and then in Indian team’s first-ever day-night Test against Bangladesh in Kolkata, where he picked five wickets in an innings.
