India skipper Virat Kohli is known to be extremely aggressive on the field and is involved in a lot of verbal volleys too often. But he respects the opposition as well and has very good relations with most of the cricketers off the field. His camaraderie with certain overseas cricketers is well known to many while his humility was on display recently during a Facebook live session with Tamim Iqbal as well.

Similarly, Kohli shares a special bond with New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson and has always praised the latter for his humble nature. Both are very good friends and were spotted chatting during one of the matches of the T20I series recently. Team India was in the Kiwi nation for 5 T20Is, 3 ODIs and a couple of Tests which is also incidentally the last time, the Men in Blue took the field.

During the T20Is, when both the regular skippers were resting, both Virat Kohli and Williamson were seen having an extremely friendly chat sitting on the sidelines. On Friday, the Indian captain posted a picture of them walking together for the toss ahead of one of the Test matches on his Instagram handle and reminisced the chats with his Kiwi counterpart. “Love our chats. Good man,” he wrote in the caption.

Trying to figure out who is taller, says Williamson in response

Kane Williamson has been surprisingly active on social media during this Coronavirus enforced lockdown. He posted a video with his pet dog playing cricket with it and also made coffee in one of his recent posts. He had responded to Steve Smith as well off late and when Virat Kohli posted the picture with him, the Kiwi captain was quick to acknowledge it as well.

The 29-year-old replicated similar feelings for the India captain and also hilariously mentioned that he trying to find out the taller person among them. “Same here bro, looking forward to the next one! … also trying to work out who is taller?” Williamson’s reply read.

Here’s his comment:

As for cricket is concerned, Virat Kohli last took the field on New Zealand tour itself in the first week of March during the Test series. Williamson, on the other hand, was involved in the first ODI against Australia which was played behind closed doors at the SCG. However, soon after this match, the series was postponed and the Kiwis returned home.
