Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma enjoy dinner dates with their spouses

The Indian cricket team is currently in England where they recently played a three-match ODI series, which they lost by 2-1. Prior to that, the Men in Blue played a couple of T20I series against Ireland and the Brits respectively and came out trumps in both of them. The visitors’ next assignment is the five-match Test series, which starts from August 1 at Edgbaston in Birmingham.

India’s batting lineup did reasonably well in the limited-overs fixtures and churned out runs in the hour of need. However, at times, they were found wanting, owing to some immaculate piece of bowling from the English bowlers. The top order scored a significant amount of runs and was pivotal to their victories. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli tried their hearts out as well with the willow.

Rohit and Virat’s journey thus far

Rohit commenced his campaign of the United Kingdom (UK) with a whirlwind knock of 97 runs but missed out on a century. He couldn’t quite step up in the next three T20Is but came into his own in the third match at County Ground in Bristol with his third ton in the format. He followed it up with his 18th ODI century in the first match of the series at Trent Bridge in Nottingham.

The right-hander floundered in the next two matches. He wasn’t also included in the Test squad. Kohli, on the contrary, couldn’t convert but ensured that he kept on chipping with useful scores in the middle-order. He perished cheaply in both T20Is against Ireland, however, made some useful contributions, which also included a couple of fifties in the ODI series. He will now lead the Test team.

Meanwhile, both Rohit and Virat are having a gala time, while their team takes a break prior to the start of the red-ball cricket. While the Indian skipper went out for a dinner date with Anushka Sharma, his better-half, Rohit went out with Ritika Sajdeh, his partner.
