Virat Kohli is an absolute beauty. He has a golden heart below his macho and aggressive persona. Again, he did something that brought him exceptional admiration from everyone. The 33-year-old former India skipper, accompanied by current Indian captain Rohit Sharma, met with Gayan Senanayake, the specially-abled Sri Lankan cricket fan in Dubai after Sunday’s game.
India locked horns with Pakistan on Sunday, August 28, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in a mouth-watering game. It was a contest worth watching as both the teams gave their best to take the upper hand, but eventually, the Men in Blue clinched a victory in the final over of the game to defeat Pakistan by five wickets.
A day after the game, on Monday, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma paid a visit to Gayan Senanayake. The Sri Lankan fan has had a great bond with Kohli ever since the two met, and he was also one of the guests at Kohli’s wedding reception with his wife Anushka Sharma. At the ceremony, Senanayake also met Indian legend, Sachin Tendulkar. Senanayake is currently in Dubai to support Sri Lanka in Asia Cup 2022.
Senanayake has previously been to many international matches and has been one of the biggest supporters of Sri Lanka. In one of the interviews, he also mentioned that his favorite game remains to be Sri Lanka’s 2014 World Cup win, and one of the most heart-breaking games he watched was the 2011 World Cup finals, in which Sri Lanka lost to India.

A thrilling start to the Asia Cup 2022
Speaking of how the Asia Cup 2022 has panned out so far, the first game ended up as a one-sided affair between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka. Afghanistan put forth the toughest time against the Sri Lankan batters and restricted them to a below-par score of 105 runs. Afghanistan batters were on fire from the word go as they chased down the score within just 10.1 overs to win the season opener.
The second game was an action-packed thriller between the arch-rivals India and Pakistan. The game came down to the final over with India needing seven runs to win off it. It was Hardik Pandya’s cool and composed knock of an unbeaten 17-ball 33* runs which led India to a win as the all-rounder finished off the chase with a six.
