Virat Kohli's uncanny look-alike meets the Indian skipper

Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli has been one of the leading sports stars of the nation. Substantiating his staggering success, the dynamic right-hander has been privy to one of the exotic and extravagant lifestyles. From fancy cars to latest gears, Kohli’s achievements serve as a testament to the cricketer’s conquests. And it’s no secret that anyone would trade their livelihood just to enjoy the glamour even for a single day.

Celebrities and their look-alikes have often been a frenzy in the media. And amongst the many that have earned fame and glory for merely looking like Virat, Kanpur’s Gaurav Narang has earned himself the maximum fans. Right from his hairstyle to his physique, Gaurav’s looks have confused many a Virat’s fans. Gaurav is blessed with a face cut, body, and hair just like our Indian cricket team captain.

Gaurav meets Kohli in Kanpur after years

Cricket pundit and commentator Harsha Bhogle himself was left amazed and even mentioned the incident during the match’s commentary. The incident took place while Team India was playing South Africa at the Greenpark stadium when all of a sudden an inconspicuous fan in the stands was caught on camera. Mistaking Gaurav to be Kohli, the audience began surrounding him, clicking selfies and taking his autograph.

Gaurav subsequently had to escape the crowd after a lot of mayhem as realization struck the 26-year-old that he was in-fact similar to Virat in looks way more than he’d imagined. Gaurav also recollects that he went unrecognized by the staff and players and was treated with respect by them assuming he was the Indian skipper.

But it was only after years, Gaurav had the chance to meet his hero during a match in Kanpur. So while Virat sweats his heart out on the pitch for his country, Gaurav enjoys his fame of being the Virat in disguise!
