Indian skipper Virat Kohli has thanked Ranbir Kapoor and Co. for being part of the second edition of Celebrity Clasico. All Stars FC and All Heart FC clashed against each other for a charity cause on Sunday at the Mumbai Football Arena for a friendly football game. While it was all about having fun and enjoying the time, Kohli was overwhelmed with the response of the crowd and also from the superstars of Bollywood who spared time for helping the Virat Kohli Foundation by participating in the benefit match.

Last year, Kohli led side had somehow drawn the game against their opponents by scoring an equaliser in the dying stages of the match. But this time around they dominated the game right from the word go and didn’t give any chance to the side of Abhishek Bachchan. They hit as many as 7 goals and entertained their fans present in the stadium. However, All Heart FC managed to score three goals in return and lost the match by a hefty margin.

Kohli’s thank you message

Virat Kohli, after the game, didn’t forget to thank all the participants from both the teams on social media website Instagram. The match was played with good spirit and though there was competitiveness, there were no arguments between the players. He posted a picture of both the teams and wrote, “Great day for Charity and for winning as well!!! Thank you everyone who have made this possible and thanks to All Heart FC for the everlasting support. You all made my day! #CelebrityClasico #AllHeartFC #AllStarFC.”

The captain cool MS Dhoni showed his class in football as well and scored a couple of goals only for his fans present to cheer loudly. Kohli wasn’t behind either and found the goal post in the final minute of the game and added on the misery for the Bollywood stars. For All Heart FC, Ranbir Kapoor scored twice and displayed the skills with his feet as well. Apart from cricketers of the Indian team, the former India hockey captain PR Sreejesh and French Open mixed doubles champion Rohan Bopanna also played for Kohli’s team.
