Virat Kohli top-ranked Indian among 25 global Instagram influencers; Anushka Sharma placed at 24th

Virat Kohli, the skipper of the Indian cricket team, is a popular figure on the social media platforms apart from his numbers on the 22 yards. Recently, he added another feather on his cap, being the highest-ranked Indian in the list of top 25 global Instagram influencers.

The rankings were churned out after 1,000 Instagram accounts were analysed on the basis of the quality of the audience. Involvement of celebrities, inspiring people and generating social awareness were also taken into consideration. In the list, topped by Cristiano Ronaldo, Kohli features at the 11th spot.

Anushka Sharma, Virat’s wife, holds the 24th spot with an authentic engagement of 2.6 million per post. The rankings were put forth by Hype Auditor, a global data collection and analysis platform. Honourable Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi features at the 17th position in the list.

On Thursday, December 11, Virat and Anushka celebrated their third marriage anniversary after tying the knots back in 2017. Kohli shared an unseen picture from their wedding to shower his love on the Bollywood actress. The 32-year-old captioned the picture and wrote, “3 years and onto a lifetime together.”

Anushka also uploaded a picture on Instagram where she was seen cuddling Virat with all the warmth she has. She captioned the picture and wrote, “3 years of us & very soon, 3 of us Miss you.“

Virat and Anushka are set to embrace parenthood after they announced the latter’s pregnancy back in August. Kohli has taken paternity leave to be with his loved one when Anushka gives birth to their child.

In an interview earlier this year, Anushka revealed how they found it tough to have a meal together when they started dating.

“People assume when I’m visiting Virat or when he is visiting me that it’s a holiday, but it’s really not. One person is always working,” Anushka was quoted as saying in Vogue.

“In fact, during the first six months of our marriage, we spent 21 days together. Yes, I actually calculated. So, when I visit him overseas, it’s to squeeze in that one meal together. It’s a precious time for us,” she stated.
