Virender Sehwag hilariously tunes in to IPL action, while watching a movie with wife
Sehwag relishes the simple joys of life.
During the high-octane action of the IPL playoffs, many men face a dilemma of choosing family or watching the match. Virender Sehwag struck the perfect balance between the two as he secretly tuned in to watch the Qualifier 1 of the IPL between Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiant, while at the theatre with wife Aarti.
Sehwag would not have been disappointed with his efforts as he was treated with a cracker of a match between the two heavyweights of Maharashtra. The Nawab of Najafgarh is a renowned entertainer on Twitter. His hilarious post and birthday wishes have developed quite a fan following post his retirement.
Wife khush to Viru khush
Yet again, Viru posted a funny selfie of him following the match on his phone rather than paying attention to the movie. Apparently, Viru believes that a contended wife leads to a jolly life. He tweeted the picture with the caption, “A happy wife means a happy Life. In a theater, watching the match as wife watches a movie. Main bhi khush, Biwi bhi khush. Simple joys.#MIvRPS”
Even though Virender Sehwag’s Kings XI Punjab is no longer a part of the competition, he would be satisfied with the team’s performance as they were in contention for a spot in the playoffs till the very last match they played.
Unfortunately, the Maxwell led side crumbled under pressure in the quarterfinal-like fixture against Rising Pune Supergiants as they were bundled out for 73.
Last night at Wankhede, IPL saw Rising Pune Supergiant defeat the table toppers Mumbai Indians for the third successive time this IPL. Rohit Sharma backed their winning formula this season of chasing totals and put Steve Smith’s side into bat.
Mumbai Indians were in control of the match till the 18th over of the innings but faced the wrath of MS Dhoni’s blade. Rohit and his team could not quite come back into the game after conceding three wickets to RPS rookie Washington Sundar. In the end, it proved a bit too much for the home side as they lost the match by 20 runs.
