Virender Sehwag, Misbah-ul-Haq, Darren Sammy appointed as captains in Legends League Cricket

New Delhi, 18^th January 2022:  Virender Sehwag, Misbah Ul Haq and Darren Sammy leading there teams in Howzat Legends League Cricket (LLC) T20 starting from 20^th January in Muscat Cricket Stadium, Oman.

Former explosive Indian batsman Sehwag who lead the Delhi Capitals & Kings Xi Punjab in Indian Primer League has appointed a skipper of Indian Maharaja Team. Being a senior Indian cricketer, Sehwag had a tremendous experience to lead the team and his skills will boost Indian Maharaja to give their best in LLC T20 league.

Along with Sehwag, Mohd. Kaif has been appointed as a vice captain of the team. Indian Maharaja has also appointed John Buchanan as a coach. In his tenure as a coach of Australian Team, John had given a successful results in past. He was coach of Kolkata Knight Riders on the initial days of IPL.

Former Stylist Pakistani batsman Misbah Ul Haq will leading the Asia Lions team in LLC T20. A mixture of Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh & Afghanistan  players Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Akhtar, Mohd. Hafiz, Umar Gul, Sanath Jayasurya, T Dilshan, Chaminda Vaas, Habibul Bashar, Asia Lions teams look much stronger than other team. Asia Lions has appointed Tillakaratne Dilshan as a vice captain. While 1996 ICC world cup winning captain Arjuna Ranatunga has appointed coach of Asia Lions.

Former Caribbean skipper Darren Sammy will be lead the World Giants team. Sammy was the captain of St. Lucia Zouks team in Caribbean Primer League (CPL). Sammy is having world class cricketers like former New Zealand skipper Daniel Vettori, Aussie pacer Brett Lee, Stylist English batsman Kevin Pietersen, South African Leggie Imran Tahir and many more who ormer South African batsman Jonty Rhodes will be the player cum Mentor for the World Giants Team.

Howzat LLC T20 Tournament Commissioner Ravi Shastri saying: “I can’t wait to work closely with LLC T20 tournament. It’s loved to see all the super stars comes together and fighting for the inaugural title of the league. This players are retired but they still very passionate about the cricket. I am sure they will show their extra skills for their teams in next 10 days.”

Recently Howzat Legends League Cricket (LLC) announced its partnership with SONY Pictures Network. Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) to live telecast all the matches of the league to be played in January 2022, on SONY TEN 1 and SONY TEN 3 channels as well as livestream the matches in India on SPN’s premium OTT platform, Sony LIV.

The first season of Howzat LLC will have former cricketers from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia, England, among other cricket nations divided in to three Teams representing India, Asia and Rest of the World. Cricket fans all across the world will get to see the Legends of Cricket sweat it out at their competitive best.
