Virender Sehwag reveals that opening in Tests was the toughest decision ever
All of Twitter knew when Virender Sehwag was celebrating his birthday. Of course, while his twitter shenanigans take some breaths away, the former Indian opener stood in the firing line as he took questions from the Twitterati for an hour using the #AskSehwag tag.
While some of the answers did indeed go on to stun some of the audiences, it seemed quite clear that the former opener was not going to hold back on anything that fired his way. Perhaps one the most important traits that made him the batsman that he was during his playing days.
When asked about what his toughest decision in cricket was, Sehwag replied that being promoted to the top of the order perhaps was. In his first Test at Bloemfontein, Sehwag came into bat at number 6, a position that he had cemented in the ODIs he had played in previously.
However, after that, he was promoted to the top of the batting order where he was a revelation as an opening batsman, something that made him the legend he is today. He also went on to add that facing the likes of Glenn McGrath and Shane Warne were a few things that he enjoyed the most.
