India and Sri Lanka are currently involved in the second ODI of the three-match series. The visitors have already won the first ODI chasing 263 runs and taken a 1-0 in the series and will be keen on sealing the contest in this game itself. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, would be keen on putting up an improved performance compared to the last game and level the series.

Despite losing after opting to bat first in the series opener, their skipper Dasun Shanaka did the same in the second ODI as well. With batting getting easier later in the day, many had thought that the team winning the toss would bowl first. For the same reason, many fans would’ve thought that India would bat first after Sri Lanka won the toss.

However, contrary to the expectations, the hosts opted to bat, not only to leave the Indians fans disappointed but also the former India cricketer Virender Sehwag. Soon after the match began at 3 PM IST, Sehwag posted his hilarious meme depicting before and after toss pictures where he can see sleeping after knowing India is bowling first.

Here’s the post:

Sri Lanka make one change in the second ODI

As expected, India didn’t make any changes to their winning combination from the first ODI. Though Prithvi Shaw was hit on the head in the chase, he seems to have recovered and looks set to open the innings once again in the chase. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka decided to drop the off-colour Isuru Udana after the first match and replaced him with Kasun Rajitha who is a similar pace bowler like Dushmantha Chameera.

After knowing from the series opener that 260-odd was not enough, Sri Lanka will be keen on posting a 300-plus total in the must-win encounter. India, on the other hand hand, will be looking to restrict them to a below-par total and then chase it down easily again.
