Virender Sehwag posts hilarious tweet to wish Dennis Lillee on his birthday
Former India opener Virender Sehwag is a man with great sense of humour. Nowadays, he has developed knack of wishing present and former cricketers in amusing ways.
Australian fast bowling legend Dennis Lillee today celebrates his 67th birthday. It’s a great day for all cricket lovers. Unfortunately, wishing him personally through social media ins’t possible as Lillee isn’t on any of the social media platforms. But, this fact was no reason for Virender Sehwag to miss his birthday.
Sehwag celebrated his birthday in his typical nawabi manner. Sehwag tweeted, “Hpy Bday Sir Dennis Lillee. If Lilleeji were in film Gunda’ Naam hai mera Lillee, kar deta hoon batsman ki pant Gilee’,” Sehwag wrote on his Twitter handle.
The hilarious tweet, simply meant that if Lillee would have ever acted in a Hindi movie, he would have been the most feared villain on screen. Sehwag has picked up the habit of wishing every prominent cricketer on their birthday. The most memorable tweet came just about ten days ago when he wished India’s limited overs skipper MS Dhoni on 7th July. Sehwag declared the day as National Helicopter day.
‘Lillee was known for his fiery temperament, ‘never-say-die’ attitude. He was the typical macho man refused to give an inch to the opposition. He was the heart of the Australian pace attack in the 70’s. His career tally was outstanding. He was the first bowler to breach the 350 wicket mark in Tests and finished his career with 335 wickets in 70 Tests at an average of 23.92 including 7 ten wicket hauls.
