Virender Sehwag's tweet for MS Dhoni wins the Internet

Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag is renowned for his funny updates on the social media platform Twitter. In the recent times, Sehwag has become an internet sensation for his witty one-liners and sarcasm-loaded tweets. Also, the former cricketer is very vocal about his opinions in the current world of cricket.

In a recent update, Virender Sehwag was all smiles for veteran Indian cricketer MS Dhoni. Over the years, there have been talks about an alleged rift between Sehwag and Dhoni. A decade ago, many blamed the then Indian skipper Dhoni for the ouster of Sehwag from the national side. But time and again, both players have praised one another.

In fact, the same storyline was also highlighted in the 2016 biopic release of MS Dhoni, which was titled ‘MS Dhoni – The Untold Story’. It is worth noting that albeit the media has been critical about the relationship the two cricketers share, the mutual admiration between them has always been immense.

The recent tweet from Sehwag is only a testimony of the same. Sehwag’s tweet had come after Dhoni’s innings in the recently concluded Centurion T20I against South Africa. Dhoni had hit his second T20I fifty. His unbeaten 52 off 28 deliveries had helped India post 188 on the board. Unfortunately for the former skipper, the team lost the game eventually. In his tweet, Sehwag hailed MS Dhoni as a legendary cricketer.

Interestingly, Dhoni’s masterly knock was loved by many other former cricketers. Another cricketer who had a brief name in Dhoni’s biopic was Mohammad Kaif. Kaif also praised Dhoni for his knock and wrote, “Waah ! Dhoni , kya maara. Great innings from Manish Pandey and MS Dhoni and 188 is a very competitive score #SAvIND.”
