VVS Laxman hits bullseye in the bowl-out, Pathan and Uthappa hail him

Irfan Pathan and Robin Uthappa have lauded VVS Laxman as he hit the bullseye in the bowl-out among other former cricketers. India and Australia are currently involved in the 5-match ODI series as the hosts are leading by 3-1. The commentary team also consists of the former cricketers from both the countries who enjoy their time when there is no cricketing action in the middle. However, they thrill their fans by bringing the live action to them with their surreal commentary.

The broadcaster of the series Star Sports decided to test the arms of their commentary panel and staged a bowl-out match between them just for fun before the start of the fourth ODI. Indian team was led by Virender Sehwag as VVS Laxman and Zaheer Khan belong to his team. Australia, on the other hand, was comprised of Brett Lee, Michael Clarke and Dean Jones as the speedster was the captain for the Kangaroos. The host of the show Jatin Sapru completed the formalities of the toss as the Aussies won it and invited Sehwag’s side to give it a go.

Pathan likes the action of Laxman

When the battle started, VVS Laxman continued his stupendous run against Aussies even after his retirement as he was the only one to hit the stumps in the face-off. After the match, Laxman took to social media and posted a message asking Lee whether he enjoyed the bowl-out. His tweet read, “Enjoyed the bowl out?? @BrettLee_58.” However, Irfan Pathan was the first one to respond to him and posted a message claiming that he liked his bowling action. Ie reply was, “Great action laxman bhai;).” The funny conversation continued as the ‘very very special’ cricketer asked the bowler about the swing. “What about the swing @IrfanPathan,” he replied.

Soon Robin Uthappa too joined the thread and praised VVS and in reply, the smart cricketer (Laxman) recalled Uthappa’s bowl-out against Pakistan at World T20 in 2007 which he had hit perfectly at the stumps. Uthappa’s message was, “How good was that lachhi bhai!!” to which Laxman replied as, “Not as good as yours in 2007 #T20worldcup.”
