T10 Cricket League fetched a lot of limelight, all thanks to some big names taking part in the contest and making it a successful event. Sharjah staged the competition and fans thronged in large numbers. The likes of Virender Sehwag, Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Amir among others, managed to entertain the cricket lovers and many backed the format to continue in the coming time.
However, former Pakistan cricketer and coach Waqar Younis took it to a whole new level by suggesting to blend it with Test cricket. Waqar expressed his thoughts about having two innings of 10 overs each, along with leads, trails and follow-ons. But the internet was not impressed and in return the former pacer had to face the flak.
Morgan backs T10 cricket
Earlier, Englands Eoin Morgan backed the new format and feels that it can be an experiment in the Olympics. He feels that for a championship that lasts for a few weeks, T10 sounds ideal. “I think T10 could be something you could potentially propose to an Olympic committee,” Morgan told ESPNcricinfo. “When you look at T20 game, it goes for a little bit longer, so if you are talking about playing a role in the Olympics then you’d probably have ten teams or more and that would probably last five or six weeks, but a 10-over league could be done in about eight days which could be right.”
“I think we have reached a limit, I think T10 is as short as the game can go but certainly there is huge potential for a T10 game,” Morgan said. “It’s 90 minutes, very exciting entertainment and exposing the game to different people around the world who would not come and watch one-day or T20 cricket.’
“It will be interesting to see how well we sell the game,” Morgan said. “We still have to create a good product and also put on a good show around it for those that buy tickets. Everyone has a part to play but it’s potentially ground-breaking if it goes well.”
To feed my love of Test cricket and to build on this T10 initiative, how about T10 matches in Test format? Two innings, 10 overs each with leads/trails, follow on, etc. Innovation & change is the only way forward in this world. Thoughts?

Rubbish. I think losses after losses as coach you have lost your mind. Let cricket remain as cricket. Don't make it a circus.
