Waqar Younis selects Pakistan's All Time Test team

Pakistan fast bowling legend and former coach Waqar Younis today announced his ‘All Time Pakistan test XI’. Pakistan is currently playing in its 400th Test at the Dubai International Stadium. The 44-year-old has put all his international experience to great use and has formed a rock solid line-up.
Younis has chosen Pakistan’s greatest batsman Hanif Mohammad and Saeed Anwar as the opener of his team. This left-hand-right-hand combination which combined grace with aggression will be tough to play against. The most important position of the team – the no. three spot – goes to Younis Khan. The middle order has run machines gutsy run machines Javed Miandad, Inzamam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Yousuf. Imran Khan is the sole all-rounder in the team. Also, it’s wasn’t a surprise that the 1992 world cup winning captain was given the leadership role by Younis.
Waqar has picked Sarfraz Ahmed as his choice of wicket keeper in the team. Ahmed is the only active player who found a place in the list. It is obviously is a good choice. Apart from being a very good wicket keeper, Ahmed is a superb batsman as well. These all-round qualities have enhanced his reputation worldwide.
His bowling attack comprises of a deadly combination which has the capability of ripping apart any batting line-up. The lethal duo of Shoaib Akhtar and Wasim Akram – both Younis’ former teammates form the pace battery, The stylish Abdul Qadir will handle the spin bowling responsibility.
